Slumberdown Donates Bedding to Children’s Getaway
17th May 2013
Slumberdown is bringing comfort to disadvantaged children at The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT). The company has donated 26 single duvets and kids pillows to the Cheshire-based holiday home for disabled children.
Helen Crowther, Senior Trust Fundraiser at CAFT said: “We are absolutely thrilled with Slumberdown’s donation to our charity, which receives no government funding and relies purely on the generosity of people.
“Saving our costs is vital so we can focus on further developing our holiday offering, helping give kids a holiday they deserve and remember for the rest of their lives.”
CAFT is a charity based in the North West, which provides free holidays, daytrips and activity days for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children. These holidays offer vital respite for children in need of a break or change of scenery.
The respite breaks allow children to stay at the 17th Century farmhouse and enjoy a games room, sports hall, multi-sensory suite, playground, pond with ducks and chickens, plus alpacas and budgerigars. In 2013 CAFT aim to deliver holidays to 3,000 children.
